THE SPIRIT TO SURVIVE - A Lifesaving Program
Georgia Temple is passionate and enthusiastic about her life, activities and global humanitarian concerns! With a background as a competitive climber, she can often be found perched precariously on a climbing wall, both indoors or out! At a young age Georgia was forever climbing trees, swimming and energetically pushing her limits in all her activities, so it was a natural progression for her to begin climbing indoors at the age of ten.
After training and competing locally for a few years, she was offered a spot on the Canadian Youth Climbing Team. From the ages of thirteen to nineteen, Georgia competed internationally in Scotland, Bulgaria, China, Austria, the Netherlands and the United States. |

Her drive and determination during her years of intensive training has translated into many other aspects of her life. Georgia Temple is an avid recreationalist who loves to spend time in the outdoors cycling, hiking, snowboarding, surfing and rock climbing. |
|
|
In addition to her outdoor pursuits, she volunteers with the Canadian Red Cross and is currently helping to organize a global issues conference for local high school-age youth. The purpose of this conference, called Humanity Strikes Back, is to inspire youth to turn their passion for local and global humanitarian issues into action!
Georgia understands the importance of pushing physical and mental limits, and she is inspired to continue to strive to be the best she can be in all her life pursuits; as an athlete, a volunteer and a role model. |

During all her adventures, Georgia puts great emphasis on using the right equipment, getting the proper training and maintaining a positive attitude, understanding that excitement and safety are not mutually exclusive, but integral to one another. |
|

She is very excited to share her experiences and expertise with students through the BC Injury Prevention Centre.
