Dave Norona continually challenges himself to achieve new levels of expertise. It doesn't matter whether he is participating in an International Adventure Race, or competing in one of the dozens of multi-sport races he has run, ridden or paddled, Dave's life is driven by his goal of physical and mental preparedness and, of course, having lots of fun!
He goes about pursuing his daily training activities such as running up and down the Grouse Grind (not once but several times in a day) or an all-day Mountain bike excursion up and down all three local mountains with a joy of life that is unsurpassed! When he's not racing, he's motivating others, including Students, to pursue their own goals and to always reach for their personal best! |

Adventure Racing is considered the 'final frontier' and the 'ultimate test of human endurance' where to simply complete a race is considered a remarkable achievement. |

Just a few of Dave's many Adventure Races include the Subaru Primal Quest (9th place finish), a grueling and unforgiving 600-km course through Western Washington, as well as the Adventure Racing World Champion-ships 2004 in Newfoundland (7th place finish) where the rugged and rocky terrain covered a heart pounding 500-km with 43 international teams competing in four grueling days of biking, paddling, rappelling and running; not to mention his Eco-Challenge races in the sweltering desert of Morocco, the hazardous mountains of New Zealand and the unforgiving jungle of Fiji. |

Super Dave excels in multi-sport activities and embraces each event with a positive attitude and an incredible focus. In his quest for new challenges, Dave has competed in Morocco, Greenland, Italy, Alaska, Africa, China, New Zealand, Australia, Scotland and Fiji. |

Dave's desire to race is not always driven by competition; he is also a born motivator who helps others to reach their goals. Super Dave has been sharing his thrilling experiences and adventures with thousand of BC students for more than ten years. He loves to share his passion for the outdoors and encourage Students to realize their dreams in all their life pursuits.
